Employment Law for Individuals

Overview Legal Services

Employment law can be complicated. It’s often very difficult to know exactly what rights you have as an employee.

Our team of experienced employment lawyers understand the worry that can be caused by having problems with your job.  They aim to simplify this area of the law and give practical legal advice so that you can make informed choices about the options available to you.

We are able to offer advice and assistance on the following:-

  • Unfair dismissal
  • Constructive dismissal
  • Redundancy
  • Discrimination
  • Harassment/bullying
  • Stress
  • Breach of contract
  • Deductions from wages
  • Working Time Regulations
  • Minimum wage
  • Grievance/disciplinary issues
  • Sickness/long term illness
  • Transfers of Undertaking (TUPE)

We can offer you guidance on your legal position and the best way to resolve any dispute that may have arisen between you and your employer.  Our capable lawyers can represent you in the Employment Tribunal or Court if that becomes necessary.  If such action is likely, we will explore and discuss your funding options; legal expenses insurance, 'No Win, No Fee' or privately paying for your legal fees.

Compromise Agreements

If you have been offered terms to leave your employment by your employer (often referred to as Severance Agreements, Settlement Agreements or Compromise Agreements by your employer) then you will require independent legal advice on the terms and the effects of the agreement.

We can advise you on all aspects of a Compromise Agreement and can often see you at short notice if required.
