Motoring offences

Overview Legal Services

The law in relation to motoring offences is complex and there has been a dramatic rise in prosecutions and convictions.

The terms ‘motoring offences’ and ‘driving offences’ are used to describe a number of different offences and our specialist solicitor is able to advise, assist and represent you in court, if necessary on the following: -

  • Speeding
  • Drink driving
  • Careless driving.

If you have received a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) in relation to an alleged speeding offence or a Section 172 Notice which requires you to identify the driver of a vehicle that has been caught speeding it is important for you to note the following: -

  • There are time limits for completing and returning the paperwork
  • Missing time limits can result in greater penalties
  • If you have already got points on your driving licence or the offence is serious, such as drink driving, it is important for you to obtain legal advice as soon as possible.

Our driving offences solicitor regularly appears in courts around the country.

We understand that a driving conviction which resulted in a driving ban would have a huge impact on your personal and professional life.  We therefore offer expert, straightforward and practical advice and assistance in helping you with your defence.
