The Firm hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning for the 6th year running. We are delighted to announce that we raised a whopping £550 during the course of the morning for this fantastic charity.
Macmillan Cancer Support offers advice, information and support people who are affected by cancer; whether they have received a diagnosis themselves or who have a loved one who has received a diagnosis.
Staff and partners at the Firm donned their aprons and baked all sorts of biscuits and cakes to sell to guests. We also held a Biscuit Bake Off and had 12 worthy entries which were judged by Practice Manager, Helen Penny. These included chocolate chip cookies, unicorn shaped biscuits, ginger and honey biscuits, Viennese Whirls, Anzac Biscuits, shortbread and party rings. The winner was Private Client secretary, Tia Stockley with her Viennese Whirls which were described by Judge Helen as having a ‘great flavour, good biscuit and a lovely filling’. The Runner Up was Care Solicitor, Ben Harling with his Anzac Biscuits which were described by Helen as ‘coconut gooey things’ which she loved and were great with a coffee!
Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, helped organise, collected cakes, made coffee and ate cake!
