David qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and is was the Senior Partner of the firm until June 2020 – he is now retained as a Consultant with the firm and is also the COFA for the firm.

During his long career in Northampton, he has been fortunate to deal with a wide range of legal topics which has given him a wide breadth of legal knowledge which is a rare quality in these days of specialisms.

After several years of handling commercial and property disputes, these days, David now applies his extensive expertise to handling a range of commercial work primarily for businesses, including company and business formations, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and intellectual property. 

The perspective that David has  gained as a partner running a law firm means that he understands the challenges and opportunities that businesses face.  He applies that perspective by giving straightforward and practical advice to his clients and he is a great believer in offering a high standard of personal service.

David enjoys a gentle stroll (having ‘strolled’ as far as Base Camp at Mount Everest!) and also tries to find time to watch the occasional rugby match. He enjoyed his recent role as one of the judges in the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards 2020.
