Our staff consists of a variety of different qualifications and experience; solicitors, licensed conveyancers, FILEX, clerks, paralegals, a trainee solicitors, typists, secretaries, finance and administration roles and receptionists.  They all play an important role in providing an expert legal service and meeting our clients’ needs and therefore in the success of the Firm

Lawyer – Private Client

Full Time Role (37.5 hours) joining a well-established and dynamic private client team headed by Senior Partner and accredited by Law Society Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme.

All round experience in private client work required to include: –

o   Wills and Estate Planning

o   Trusts

o   Probate and Estate Administration

o   Lasting Powers of Attorney

o   Court of Protection

o   Elderly and vulnerable clients

o   Care home fees          

  • Ability to undertake a mixed caseload of private client work supported by a secretary.
  • Willing and able to undertake networking and marketing as required to assist the department in building levels of work.
  • Willingness to undertake annual mandatory training as required by the Law Society under WIQS.
  

Our preferred candidate will either be a solicitor or legal executive of 5 years + PQE who enjoys working as a part of a close team.

Ideally, the candidate will be local to Northamptonshire or the surrounding counties, wishing to establish themselves at the Firm, continuing to assist the long- standing clients of the retiring lawyer and give excellent client care.

The Firm is interested offering advice and assistance on Care Funding, NHS Funding and the challenging of local authority assessment.  A candidate with knowledge and experience in this area would be of particular interest.

We are looking for a Private Client lawyer to join our well-established and dynamic team headed by our Senior Partner and accredited by Law Society Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme.

The role will suit a qualified solicitor or legal executive (NQ+) who has all round experience in private client work.  Ideally, the role will be full time (37.5 hours), but we are happy to consider part time.  The role arises due to continued growth and expansion in this area of work.

We are looking for a paralegal to join our growing Private Client team. The role can be based at either our Northampton or Kettering office, with attentance at our Central London office as and when needed.

Our partner led team is well established and this role arises because we need additional support for our qualified lawyers.

The role is office based and is full time (37.5 hours).  The ideal candidate will have a law degree and an interest in private client work.  It will suit a candidate who already has some knowledge and experience in this area.  They will be familiar with supporting lawyers with both administrative matters on client files as well as assisting with matter progression.  Some knowledge and experience on the following matters is required: –

  • Taking instructions on and drafting Wills & Codicils,
  • Probate and Estate Administration
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney

The candidate will be willing and able to work as part of a team, including attending our other offices if required.  They will demonstrate a willingness to learn and to undertake annual mandatory training as required by the Law Society under WIQS.  They will have the confidence to assist clients either face to face or on the telephone and have strong written and organisational skills.
